Indiana University has been more than just a place where I came from New Mexico to get a degree. IU is my second home and I owe a lot of my success to the support I have received for the past 4 years. When I started my freshman year, I would have never guessed all that I have accomplished. I have received multiple scholarships allowing me to travel to present research and conduct summer research at the National Institutes of Health. I have also been able to serve on the executive board for multiple student groups. Additionally, I have been successful academically with the support of many professors. All of these experience have truly prepared me for a successful future. Next year I will be attending medical school and I feel as though I am truly prepared. I want to thank IU for believing in me and other students that we can achieve great things.
